Call for Papers

The theme for the Congress is “Diversity, conservation, and sustainable use of African and Madagascan plants in a changing natural world”. A number of symposia relating to the theme are planned for the Congress. Research papers on the general theme of the Congress, symposia themes (click here), and symposia abstracts (click here) are invited for presentation at the Congress. Your talk should fit one of the symposia themes or symposia abstracts. If your talk does not fit into any of the approved symposia or symposia topics, you can still submit an abstract so long as it fits the general theme of the congress.

The official languages for the congress are English and French
 

Call for Papers

Scientists interested in presenting a paper at the congress are invited to submit an abstract, indicating the way in which they would like to present the paper: Oral presentation or Poster presentation. Authors have up to 1st May to submit abstracts. The presenting author will receive an acknowledgement of receipt within 48 hours (except weekends). They will also receive a provisional acceptance letter of the abstract submitted. . The nature of the proposed presentation, that is, oral or poster will be communicated to the presenting author within 20 days of receipt of the abstract at the Secretariat. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept any paper in the form of a poster only.

Instructions for Authors

Abstracts should be in English and French. The abstract should not be more than 350 words and should comprise of:

  1. The title of the abstract, not exceeding 80 characters,
  2. The name and affiliation, including email address of the author(s); the name of the person presenting should be in bold,
  3. An overview of the objectives, methods used, results and conclusion, and
  4. Five key words.
  5. Use Times New Roman font size 12.
