HOW IT WORKS
Abstract submissions are accepted on ANY topic covered by the theme of the Congress. AETFAT Secretariat will strive to accommodate as many presentations as possible in the programme.
- Everyone will need to pay and register to attend the Congress. Information on registration fees and payment details can be found here.
- Presenters (talk or poster) need to submit an Abstract for their presentation. Abstract submissions will not be considered by the Scientific Committee if the speaker is not registered with confirmed payment.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I pay and register to attend the Congress, without submitting an Abstract?
Yes, you can.
Can I pay and register now, but only submit my abstract later?
Yes. We understand that everyone wants to present their latest results on their research but also make the most of the Early Bird Registration rates. Therefore, we will accommodate receiving abstract submissions later, but only until 1st of May 2025.
I would like to attend but I have not secured funding yet. Can I register first and pay later?
No. We strictly request that you pay first and then register. Your registration cannot be considered if you cannot present proof of payment on submitting the registration form.
The topic of my poster or presentation does not fit into any of the general themes or symposium listed. Will my poster or presentation be rejected for this reason?
No. We welcome submissions for poster or presentations on ANY topic, and we will strive to accept as many as possible. We only ask that you tell us if your work aligns with any of the proposed themes or symposia to help us coordinate the Scientific Programme more efficiently, it will not be considered in the abstract selection process. If your presentation does not fit into any of the existing themes or symposia, just indicate “Other” and we will make the best possible decision on where to include it in the programme.
