Shai HIlls Resource Reserve
The Shai Hills Resource Reserve, located in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, about an hour’s drive by road from Accra, offers a unique and memorable experience. This reserve covers approximately 47 square kilometres and is characterized by a dry coastal evergreen savannah a mix of open grassland and woodland. It has about 400 plant species on the five hills in the reserve.
When you visit Shai Hills, you will also learn about the cultural heritage of the Shai people, who have historical ties to the area. The reserve includes several sacred sites and caves of significant cultural and historical importance.
