I hold a BSc in Botany from the University of Ghana, Legon, where I conducted research on biodiesel production from seaweed along Ghana’s coast. I earned an MPhil in Nuclear Agriculture from the University of Ghana, Atomic Campus, focusing on the non-destructive assessment of photosynthetic rates in cassava. I later completed a PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering at Nanjing University of Science and Technology in China, where my research centered on the bioremediation potential of microalgae using food industry effluents and their application as animal feed.
My research bridges hydrobotany and biotechnology, with a strong focus on aquatic ecosystems. I study invasive aquatic weeds and their ecological impacts on freshwater habitats, including effects on native species and ecosystem processes. I also investigate phytoplankton community structures to understand their role as bioindicators of water quality in environmental monitoring.
